The staff of the division cooperates with scientists of the Analytical Chemistry Chair, Academy of Mining and Metallurgy.

Research topics:

• analytical chemistry focused on the trace element analysis using various instrumental techniques; the materials studied include geochemical, environmental, glass, food and ceramic samples, biological samples, etc.;
• development of analytical methods for art conservation and material science;
• archeometry.

• Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry - flame, graphite furnace, hydride generation
• Zeeman GFAA
• Optical Emission Spectrometry
• UV-VIS Spectrometry
• Electrochemical Instruments - differential pulse stripping voltametry, polarography, ion selective sensors.
